Package Analysis for 'com.android.stk2' (Aosp / Advanced Debloat Target): SIM toolkit Special package for dual-sim devices? Enables carriers to initiate "value-added services". Basically, some operators provide SIM-cards with applications installed on them. Has been abused: - SimJacker: - WIBattack: WARNING: do mind that disabling/uninstalling this package will break mobile identity management which could be used by apps (for example your Bank) to authenticate you. See Android users frequently spot 'com.android.stk2' running persistently in Battery Usage, Network Data Monitor, or Developer Running Services. Note: Malicious trojans and stalkerware APKs also frequently spoof legitimate Aosp system package names like 'com.android.stk2' to evade manual detection.
