Package Analysis for 'com.qualcomm.qti.rcsimsbootstraputil' (Misc / Recommended Debloat Target): RCS Service RCS = Rich Communication Services. RCS is a communication protocol between mobile telephone carriers and between phone and carrier, aiming at replacing SMS. Uses IP protocol so it needs an internet connection. It's a hot mess right now. It aims at being universal but only exists in Samsung Messages and Google Messages, because Google hasn't released a public API yet, so 3rd-party apps can't support it. In a lot of countries messages go through Google's Jibe servers. Can anybody check if this is needed for VolTE/VoWifi? Android users frequently spot 'com.qualcomm.qti.rcsimsbootstraputil' running persistently in Battery Usage, Network Data Monitor, or Developer Running Services. Note: Malicious trojans and stalkerware APKs also frequently spoof legitimate Misc system package names like 'com.qualcomm.qti.rcsimsbootstraputil' to evade manual detection.
