Package Analysis for 'com.sec.android.emergencymode.service' (Oem / Advanced Debloat Target): Emergency mode enables you to extend your device’s standby time when in an emergency situation and want your device to conserve power for as long as possible. When activated, screen brightness will decrease, some of functionality will be limited and the home screen is changed to a black theme, all to reduce battery drain (OLED screens draw less power when showing black, cuz black = pixel off). NOT related to SOS messages/911. Android users frequently spot 'com.sec.android.emergencymode.service' running persistently in Battery Usage, Network Data Monitor, or Developer Running Services. Note: Malicious trojans and stalkerware APKs also frequently spoof legitimate Oem system package names like 'com.sec.android.emergencymode.service' to evade manual detection.
